The death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on April 9th 2021 saw ITV drop all scheduled programming throughout the day to run special programming instead. A solemn black ident, with the ITV logo only just distinguishable was used into any programme junctions on the day.

The dropping of scheduled programming on the day news broke of Prince Philip's death resulted in the appearance of a very rare cross-branded ITV and STV menu slide on air. Aired during the news itself, so with news rather than continuity reading out the revised schedule details for the evening, the slide features ITV's graphical stencil template, but with the addition of an STV logo too.

The next new ITV Creates collaboration for 2021 launched at 6am on June 1st. The date this time coincided with the start of Pride Month, allowing for special pride idents on ITV which had not been seen since the previous 2013 look. For the collaboration filmed in Manchester, artist Thomas Wolski and Rebecca Smith under the name Urban Projections produced a monochrome piece with colours then projected over the top.
